The year 1927 marks an important epoch making event in the history of WestHill. A seed was sown into this thirsty land – a land economically, culturally and academically backward. On Sept. 12, 1937 responding positively and creatively to the invitation given by the then Bishop of Calicut Rt. Rev. Dr. Leo Proserpio, the congregation of the sisters of the Little Flower of Bethany started a new branch house with four daring and noble personalities – Sr. Angela, Sr. Dolorosa, Sr. Dulcis and Sr. Presenta. The untiring efforts with dauntless courage of these sisters brought the school to its heights and the first batch of ESLC students passed out with 100% result.
