About Us The year 1927 marks an important epoch making event in the history of WestHill. A seed was sown into this thirsty land – a land economically, culturally and academically backward. On Sept. 12, 1937 responding positively and creatively to the invitation given by the then Bishop of Calicut Rt. Rev. Dr. Leo Proserpio, the congregation of the sisters of the Little Flower of Bethany started a new branch house with four daring and noble personalities – Sr. Angela, Sr. Dolorosa, Sr. Dulcis and Sr. Presenta. The untiring efforts with dauntless courage of these sisters brought the school to its heights and the first batch of ESLC students passed out with 100% result.

The dream of the parents and other well wishers and benefactors came true when the school was raised to the status of High School in 1966. The first batch of SSLC students passed out in 1969 with68% of success. Year by year the school grew in number and fame. The infrastructure and other facilities developed as the year passed by. The second floor was put up to accommodate the increasing number of students in 1974. Parallel English medium classes started in the same year. In 1982 a new two storied building was constructed. In 1986 a new block was constructed for the library. 1977 is an important year in the history of the school. First PTA was formed with Sri. P.P. Ummar Koya as the president and Sri. R. Venkitachalam as vice president.

The long awaited desire of PTA and parents blossomed out in 2010 when the Government willed to declare it as Higher Secondary School. Today the school caters to the educational requirements of about 3000 students of WestHill and neighboring villages. The students are trained to excel in curricular and co-curricular activities. Today the school provides the facilities of a well equipped computer lab, smart room, well furnished science lab and good library. The students excel in every field and bring honor and fame to the school. St. Michael’s functions gloriously with head held high in the heart of Kozhikode city.
